Future Plans

2 min read
Since ToaArcan did one of these recently, and this page might see some activity, I feel like it's suitable to explain what my plans are.

All's End and Violet Era are officially done. While I still feel the pull for certain aspects of them, it's not strong enough to make me want to pick them up again. Particularly I did have a lot of plans for Violet Era, but the franchise just doesn't interest me enough.

AI & I: This plans to continue to whenever it ends, assuming the high likelihood that I stay friends with Jazz117Volkov for the duration. No issues there. Once that's ended, I'll be continuing with Therix and Eleanor's story and related information. It's helped me develop who they are much more, so that may lead to...

Project Regicide: The eventual successor on my half of AI & I, this will be set purely in the 40k universe (though the advancing lore makes this...interesting) though it will still feature certain characters who have been partly appropriated for the series. Some of these are already characters that fit in the 40k settings, some are a little tweaked. Not too much though. Hell, Eleanor's still around. Nothing is set in stone for Project Regicide, including the name, it's just a thing that's going to happen.

Whetstone: Something I'm working on at the moment, a fantasy-esque story following a certain group of characters in their adventures. Depending on outside circumstances there's no guarantee it will follow only these characters, but it will only follow one set at a time. More details to come with the prologues I should hopefully get around to these next few weeks.

Super Secret Project: ???

Missed Autumn: This is the game level I'm working on for my uni project which is what's taking the time at the moment.

Barely Knowing

For anyone who still looks at what shows up from my account...

So, after some deliberation, I've decided the haitus of All's End is now a cancellation, the canon of that story being transferred to AI & I. This means most of the characters appearing no longer count for the story, one or two are now alive, and then there are some who haven't been introduced anyway.

What does this mean for All's End? Well, for starters, it's not going to be named that anymore. It also means that the characters in it are a lot more defined, thanks to having someone to bounce off who is frankly far better at showing what a character is like than I am. With the lack of so many extra universes it slims it down somewhat as well - though it's important to note that while in the universe these other dimensions exist, I will not be visiting them - so the number of characters I'm having to deal with is much reduced and thus less of a clusterfuck. It's still set in the 40k universe though, and that's enough of one for me I suppose.

This also means that I do plan to be writing surrounding stories - things the Iron Rose do in the unfolding universe, and things like origins and encounters for major characters: who they were, what they were doing, how they met someone from the Iron Rose and what they became afterwards. This of course excludes Ramiel, Raikova, Kenady, Laurent, Merric, and any other character firmly in Jazz117Volkov 's domain, since they have their own stories and I do not intend to intrude upon that territory.

It's worth noting that this does not occlude my involvement from some of the other settings. The other universes used may end up having short stories or such written about them, but it's highly unlikely that they will have any connection to the AI & I universe. (Going to be strange referring to it as that now). I really wish that I wasn't having to do this, that I could make All's End work, but having been stepping forward recently, I realise just how implausible that outcome is and while a big, multi-sphere mashup is good for some people, it's not the story I ultimately want to write, and I couldn't do the characters justice like that.

Some parts of it may work its way into the new lore. I still like the stuff between the Iron Rose and the Farsight Enclaves, along with the things happening with the Craftworlds and so on. The rest of it no longer fits the mold really.

As for Violet Era and Uncivil Union, I still don't know. Violet Era is only halfway through its story and there's a lot left to write, but no part of me actually wants to be writing a Sonic story anymore. Those of you reading this who knew me when I started it might remember how I had to fight to get the tone of i recognised. It was a struggle to even pick up in the fandom. Now, a lack of other involvement has finally caught up, the only thing actually keeping me within the fandom being my own writing, which is nowhere near enough for me I think.

Uncivil Union, on the other hand, along with the planned Uncivil Service, State of Renewal and A Red Mentality, they were all expected to be collaborations, and I am equally contested there by a lack of interest in Sonic versus it being a pretty major dick move to walk away in the middle of Uncivil Union. I am currently stuck between not having the interest to be writing the story, but my own buggered moral compass not wanting to walk away.

So This Again

2 min read
So it's that time of year where I feel depressed again. I currently have zero motivation of any kind for my main stories. I can't help but feel like All's End got screwed up by me trying to do too much at once. It's given me a lot and taught me a lot, but ultimately doesn't feel like it's going to be good to write anymore. I absolutely can't wrap up the many characters and plotlines I have available in that story with any good feeling to it.

Meanwhile, I don't have any want to write Uncivil Union or Violet Era becase seemingly overnight any interest I had in the Sonic franchise has just evaporated. Both stories have been a snail's pace due to me not feeling like what I'm writing is something I want to be doing.

The only story I'm actually involved in writing at the moment that I'm enjoying is AI & I that's taught me so much about my characters and without getting bogged down in too much and honestly feels like a nicer canon than All's End currently does. Aside from this, I'm mainly looking forward to Death's Call because something about that story caught me.

Yes, we're still doing these. This chapter gets some interesting tension as well.
